Trace

For the people you love.

Some of what matters most is never written down: a voice, a reason, where the papers are. Trace keeps it, sealed, for the people you choose, and passes it on only as you decide.

How Trace works

Write it. Seal it. Pass it on.

  1. 01

    Write it

Write a letter, record your voice, or add the papers someone will need: a will, a deed, account details, insurance.

  2. 02

    Seal it

It is locked on your device before it is saved. Only you can open it. Not even Eden.

  3. 03

    Pass it on

When your release rules are met, each person receives only what you chose for them, and when.

Why Trace exists

Trace began with someone close to our founder. After she lost her father, she dreamed of him often and said she would love to hear his voice one more time. Then their messages were deleted, with no backup, and she lost him a second time.

No one should lose the last of someone’s voice to a missing backup.

That is why Trace sits inside a financial product. The practical things (the will, the policy, the account numbers) and the personal ones (the letter, the voice note) belong together, kept safely, for the people who will need them.

Care in the details

Private by design, gentle by default.

Each gets only what you choose

One person might receive a letter; another, the insurance papers. You decide item by item, and whether they can view or also share.

On your timing

Access as soon as your vault is released, a number of days after, or on a date that means something.

They’re told only when you decide

Loved ones are invited quietly. Until then, nothing reaches them.

A backup that keeps the seal

Your vault is sealed with a recovery key, so a lost phone doesn’t take it with it. Eden still can’t open it.

A PIN and two-factor sign-in

Trace opens only after your passkey or a recovery code, and locks itself when you step away.

For the people who chose you

If someone keeps something for you, you’ll see where it stands, still sealed until it’s time.

Trace, in early beta

A safe place for the things that matter most.

Trace is one of the parts of Eden we are building most carefully. Try it in the beta and tell us what it should hold.

Eden is in early beta. Parts are unfinished and change often, and your feedback shapes what comes next.
